This is a valuable book to use when learning the Russian language. If you use it as a guide to learn key words and some phrases made from them it will serve you well. It cannot, however, help much with pronunciation. I recommend that you use some form of pre-recorderd conversational discs with it. Although not truly a phrase book, or even a English-Russian dictionary I find it a helpful supplement to a conversational CD Russian course.In fact, if combined with a phrase book of Russian with a CD course you will learn Russian more easily and quicker than with any one method alone. Be prepared to make mistakes and keep at the practice. More practice is better.
Possibly traveling to Europe and maybe even Russia this year. The 350 words technique is very very effective, to help you connect certain words, to establish basic fluent communications. I was able to converse a bit with my Russian friend today with what I learned from this. Book and technique are amazing and I strongly recommend this to others.
Nitzany's methods are easy to understand and perfect for the casual learner. Useful read to supplement your learning
I am currently refreshing my Russian with this book. It is a good source to supplement what I already know. Any person with a basic introduction to this language, can highly benefit from this book. This paperback is a good book to have along with the ebook version. What's beneficial about this program is that you aren't required to have prior knowledge in knowing how to read Russian Cyrillic alphabet since this entire book is in English transliteration.
My son loves this as there is not a lot of time wasted in "grammar" just goes directly to what needs to be said to get around quickly

When i found this book i realized i could become conversational in a very short period of time. This made my dream of traveling to Russia possible.....
